* James still prefers to be held but this hasn’t prevented
him from developing muscles. He's a sturdy kid.
* Rolling over to reach things and can wiggle body to spin
around
* It is cute to see how excited Alma is to teach him things
-- from the
names of our pets, to things we see outside -- and has even started
signing again rather regularly so that he can see that too. I couldn't
have imagined how much she would love him (and how much he seems to
adore her) nor how helpful a toddler could be while parenting an
infant.
* Double stroller is awesome. Good workout, although usually one seat is
empty as Alma wants to walk or James gets fussy and needs to be held in the
carrier.
* Eating bananas. He got the hang of it quickly and cries for the next bite. It
is nice to have Alma during these first meals because it makes each one feel special and exciting.
* Snugly baby. My
favorite is when he digs his way into my neck with his head. So sweet, I could just be there all day.
* Lots of baby noises
* Holds his toes and tries to bite them but isn’t quite
flexible yet
* Grabs things when he
is in my arms. This has made getting things done around the house even
more challenging as he jumps out of my arms to grab things. His
enthusiasm makes me laugh.
* Big blue eyes
* Kicker and arm flapper like Alma when laying on his back
* Two teeth, which arrived at the
same time. This caused some sleepless nights for both of us but he
basically got through them like a champ.
* Favorite snack/toy is fingers -- his own or anyone else's.
* Loves to watch us read books. Alma is great about always making sure that he can see the pictures in the book.
* Likes rattle noise, especially in the car, which isn’t his
favorite (read as, he often screams for the entire car ride)
* Sucks in his bottom lip often
