Beauty and the Beast

To celebrate my niece's birthday next month, Alma and I got to join some family members in watching Beauty and the Beast at the Pennsylvania Shakespeare Festival.  It was a fun show, which Alma watched through her fingers because the beast was a little too scary for her.  His makeup was pretty great and his roar was rather fierce.  She loved the show regardless and especially loved going out to lunch afterwards with her cousin, aunt and Nana.

Last Days of School

James and I treated Alma to Dunkin Donuts on the way to her last day of school.  The following day, we got to see her class perform in the Recognition Ceremony at the Episcopal Cathedral in Bethlehem.  Do you see Alma in the front on the right in her red sailor dress?

James Swim Lessons

James adored his weekly swim lessons at Swim-In Zone. He especially loved the slide, Lifeguard James and his teacher Jackie. He was great at kicking, fearless about going under water and would do the sign for "more" while still under water after going down the slide.

We are taking a break from swimming lessons for the summer but are excited to go back in the fall.

She's grown so much!

The James Face

You know how every kid has a face that they make that is "so them"?  This is how I will always think of James.  This smile tells me that he is delighted by what I'm doing but not really sure enough to break into a full beaming smile.

Swimming with Grandpa

The place where my parents are renting has a beautiful outdoor pool that is open during the summer.  The kids and I love going there to cool off on hot days.

Coloring with James

Do you see all the crayons on the floor?
