Alma celebrated her birthday with an ice skating party, which was a lot of fun. (Since some parents are sensitive to sharing their children's photos online, I am only showing photos of us, so that we remember the day.)

Life Update
As the University is undergoing some adjustments, I suddenly find myself as the head of my department. While this is not the career move I was expecting, I am thrilled to put forth my best effort to help this fantastic institution thrive. I am excited about what the development team will accomplish.

Utah Adventure
I was so grateful to have a few days in Utah with Erica, one of my childhood best friends. I haven't talked so much to a girlfriend since .... well, probably since the last time I saw Erica -- ha! It was so refreshing and wonderful to step away from my regular life, get a glimpse into her family's busy and fun schedule, and see the beautiful scenery of Southern Utah.
Mini adventures included driving in a winter snow warning, hiking in the beautiful St. George region (complete with a peek into some lava tubes), horseback riding, a chameleon, and watching the Phillies lose the World Series from San Fransisco when my trip was re-routed in the wrong direction on the way home. I even got several non-selfie photos during the trip. Needless to say, Erica is a gem, and I'm so blessed to have her in my life.
