Something Cute
Evidently, if you ask Alma to "show you something cute," she will turn around and show you her bum. I guess we tell her that she is a "cutie butt" too often.

Photo Catch Up
A few weeks ago we went to the fish hatchery in Allentown to feed the fish. What fun!
"Playing" the game MasterMind on the front porch. On hot days, we spend most of our time out there. (Don't worry, James just watches Alma play with those tiny pieces.)
First swing ride!
Tasty safety clips!
Five and a half month well baby visit to the pediatrician. James weighed in at 17 lbs 11oz (66%), nearly 28 inches (91%) and 17.6 head circumference (85%).

First sick visit ever*
At two and a half, Alma finally went to the doctor for something other than a well-visit. She has been run down all week and today her fever spiked over 102. She was beyond excited to go to the doctor "to get checked."
Now, James, it is up to you to beat Alma's record of never getting sick.
UPDATE: She has a bit of a sinus infection which should clear up in the next few days.
* Ends up that she went to the doctors once before when she had some "tummy troubles" but they told us that it wasn't anything serious so we just adjusted her diet.

Zoo Trip
Last Friday we went to the Lehigh Valley Zoo and the for a picnic lunch by the stream down the hill from the zoo. So much fun! The kids went wading in the water to throw rocks.

Happy Father's Day, Joshua!
Alma, James and I are so blessed to have such a hard-working, dedicated father and husband in our lives. Joshua's eyes light up with love when he sees us after a long day at work and that is one of my favorite sights. It is amazing to be so loved.
Alma and Joshua after a morning working in the yard.
Enjoying cake at our nephew's birthday party (While this photo was taken, Joshua and Alma were watching the birthday boy demolish the cake.)
Love you more and more each day, Joshua!

Library Love
Can I brag for a second (wait, have I ever stopped bragging on this website?!) and tell you how much Alma loves the library and books? After I went to a meeting at the library over the weekend and brought home some books, we didn't see her for the longest time as she carefully looked through each of the book's pictures. I love how the above photo is such a common sight in our house.
Most of our life is spent reading with her or with her following us around with as many books as she can carry and asking for us to read them to her.

Sesame Place
Today we went to Sesame Place for the first time. It was so fun. Both Joshua and I like amusement park rides so it was fun to share that experience with the kiddos. Alma loved the swings and the carousel.
We didn't bring our camera but we snapped these pictures when we got home and everyone had a serious case of the sillys.
