Beach Day

 It has been nearly a year and a half since we were last at the beach, so we popped over to Sea Isle City, New Jersey to see my parents who are staying at my brother's beach house.  It was a great day with beautiful windy weather that reminded the kids of how much fun the beach can be.

Swim Lessons and Other Fun

 

Alma and I began taking swim lessons at the YMCA on Saturday mornings.  With three weeks of Kendal's guidance, I can nearly swim as well as Alma.  She still completely beats me with flip turns and the butterfly.

Other small delights include watching the Kids Baking Championship (with Duff and Valerie), finishing her first quilt, sailing a catamaran at Marsh Creek, local hikes, Pokemon battles, and a short trip to an eerily empty Barnes and Nobles to stock up on more Pokemon cards and graphic novels.
