Halloween

Happy Halloween, or as we like to call it in Bethlehem "Friday"*

* Bethlehem celebrates Halloween the Friday before October 31st.  This year, with the 31st as a Thursday, trick-or-treat night was Friday, October 25th.  It's stupid for so many reasons, the greatest of which is that it then provides kids with a whole night for mischief.  Like breaking into my car as they did this year.  (Bah-humbug Bethlehem Halloween!)

Happy Birthday, Joshua!



 

Joshua's awesomeness knows no bounds.  Just look at his reaction to Alma opening a Halloween present from Grandma Chisholm.  You would think princess Halloween stickers were the greatest thing in the world to him.  But that's just sums up Joshua's excitement and love for his family -- if we are happy, he is beyond the moon.  We are so blessed to have him in our lives and as the loving force that holds us together.  Happy birthday, babe.

Peter and family

James's godfather Peter and his awesome family came to visit us this weekend.  We celebrated Joshua's birthday (which is coming up on Thursday), went for a hike and had a great time catching up.  Gosh, we missed them when they moved away last year.  So happy they are back in the Philly area.
