Spring Break and Easter with Oregon Grandparents

We had a great visit with Grandma Chisholm and Grandpa Henry during Spring Break.  James was delighted to meet the man who has been supplying him with cars and trucks since he didn't especially remember our last trip out West when he was 2.5 years old.  Alma basked in all the undivided attention from her fun grandmother.

We were able to visit the Strasbourg Train Museum, color Easter eggs, tour Independence Hall and Valley Forge, and also have lots of down time at the house.  What a fun visit.  We were so grateful that they were able to visit us.

This week at school

The weather is suddenly wonderfully warm.  The kids were excited to have plenty of time outside this week.  Also, James's French class was learning vocabulary related to clothing.

Alma's class is focusing on current event presentations.  Last week she presentated about Kumbali and Kago (see below).  This week she presented on the International Space Station, a source of fascination for the children and me as we have seen it fly by our house a number of times.
