Marshmallow Peep
July 2006 = move cross country
July 2007 = move into our first home
Recently, we were thinking about how much fun it was to take a full month to travel cross country last year. Before we left Seattle, a co-worker of Joshua's asked us to take her stuffed animal Peep (yes, like the marshmallow candies you may eat at Easter) with us and take photos of it at all the locations we visited. We had good intentions, but in the end we completely forgot. However, Joshua put together some very accurately photoshopped photos. Here are a few for your enjoyment:

Little Magical Elves Who Make Our House Lovely
When we got back from vacation, our house was new and improved with WALLS, a CEILING and CROWN MOLDING. How novel!
We quickly added some primer to the new drywall before the flooring guys went to work. Our living room and dining room are looking much better these days. (In the photo below, on the left side of the room that is some brown contractor's paper we started putting down to protect the newly finished floors.)
This upcoming weekend: Color for the walls!
Next week: The parade of furniture into the house!

Vacation Week in the Pacific Northwest
Celebrating Hayden's Birthday (#2!) at Volunteer Park in Seattle
Fourth of July at Elk Lake, Oregon
Rock climbing at Smith Rocks in Oregon
(This is a photo of one of Emily's first climbs!)
It was so fun hanging out, climbing and getting painfully dirty together. Although that isn't dirt on Joshua's upper lip ... it's the newest facial hair plan: a mustache!
The Chisholm Family Reunion (only have a photo of the West Coast contingent of the party)
Babysitting Hayden for the day -- Joshua and Hayden helped finish off the sandbox David made by transporting the sand.
Oh man, we had such a fun time last week. Now we are back in the muggy weather of Philadelphia to finish up the major work on our house, move our belongings, get back to work and daydream of our next vacation.
