Apple picking with Godfather Peter and his lovely family, a tricky carrot cake I iced for Joshua's birthday (he wanted carrot cake but lovingly made the children a chocolate cake -- what a guy!), Alma is writing and reading up a storm, James still naps daily (at school or on the couch on the weekends), the ToysRUs catalog is a hit, the pets are still harassed, I had a terrific morning visiting Alma's school open house, and this fall is beautiful (view from my work office window).
