The new addition to my art collection

A big and enormous thanks to Laura's childhood friend and now professional tattoo artist extraordinaire in the Philadelphia region Court.  Click here to see some of his other work.

"Your necklace may break, the Fau-Tree may burst, but my tattooing is indestructible.  It is an everlasting gem that you will take into your grave." - Samoan Song

Below you will see the evolution of the new piece.  Basically Court gave me an upper arm sleeve of the Chisholm Modern Dress Tartan.
The original piece, the Chisholm Crest that I had done in Bend, Oregon in 2000.

The first step was the tattooing the grid pattern and the start of the coloring process. The second and third steps continued the coloring-in process.  First the red and then the dark red sections. The fourth step finished up the underside of the arm and touched-up older sections to fill in gaps. 13 hours or so later ta-da!

Fifth step, down the road! Court wants to do some finishing touches that will give it more of a threaded fabric feel.
