To learn about the election process, the school voted for a mascot. A primary enabled four candidates to run for the position: llama, sea turtle, leopard, penguin. Students in the Upper Elementary class were about to register absentee voters and then also helped during the voting day in the toddler classrooms, which coincided with a national mid-term election. In the end, many students were disappointed when the llama did not win. However, with a re-count of the vote (including some ballot analysis), the llama won. What a great lesson that Joshua arranged.
