Distinguishing Characteristic

Alma's tongue is often a topic of conversation. Not only it is ridiculously long, but she shows it to people often. We love how silly it is and are suspicious that she was inspired by the dog.

That tongue! I love it!!! I must say Laura, that you are the most frequent and consistent blogger friend I have - omigosh! I had to do some serious catching up! I need to get that google reader thing started, so that I get your updates more regularly. I loved reading back and seeing all your wonderful pictures. Hopefully we can talk sometime soon because I can't express all that I want to say on this little comment-post :) You are one awesome Mama!! love you!!

Thanks, Erica! Yes, we have to chat on the phone some time soon! I only seem to think to call you at 6am our time, which you may not enjoy -- ha!

My consistent posts are all just a disguise. Really, it's all about writing 5 or 6 posts at once and then scheduling them for the future ;) For example, when I wrote the post about Alma's baptism, I quickly wrote an additional five short posts (Brothers Jerry's Garden, her tongue, tummy time, swapping and yoga) and scheduled them for automatic future publication. It only took a hour to do it all at once. I know that I enjoy reading blogs with short and frequent updates because (like you) I rarely have time to read entire mondo-posts. [Not to say mondo-posts are bad, I just rarely get through them.]

Anyway, since it also serves as our family's journal of events, I really like updating this blog. Glad you enjoy it too!!

Be good! And good luck with the 101+ things you have going on! I'll mail the gifts to your mom so you have something to look forward to when you get to Utah (you know, besides your family, the mountains and everything!). Plus, one less thing to pack!

Love you, too!
